Sarah Kendall: My very first kidnapping
Aug. 24th, 2007 09:26 amSarah Kendall does a stand-up routine, with the aid of two companions, about her experience in a dubious initiation ceremony at Sydney university. New students were blindfolded, taken (I nearly wrote "transported") into the countryside and left to find their way back without any money. Kendall and her friend were left in a forest where several women had been murdered by a notorious, and uncaught, serial killer.
That's the basis of the story. Around that she builds humorous character sketches of her family, friends and a professor. There are several running gags and it all works vey well. The show is consistently funny as well as telling an interesting story.
