Not being a reader of the Daily Telegraph, I missed this cartoon on the recent election in the USA. It rather sums up my feeling about it. Frpm what little I know about the manifestos, it seems that the better (and better funded) candidate won, but the hype and expectation seem to have reached absurd levels.
