Looking after Mother
Mar. 18th, 2007 08:47 pmThe good part of this entry is the simple one of mother's day. Michael made his mum a cute card, with a heart cut out of one page covering a picture a the page behind. We gave her a rare lie-in which she took full advantage of.
On Wednesday this week, there will be a different sort of looking after mother, because Mrs. Henry-The-Cow will go into the dental hospital to have a wisdom tooth out. This will involve a strong sedative, so I will have to take her home and look after her (and Michael) for a day or two.
The really sad news is that her own mother is not at all well and is being looked after in hospital down south. It's a debilitating illness rather than anything immediately life-threatening, but it is causing stress all round. Mrs. Henry-the-Cow's siblings have kids of their own to look after, so it's hard for all of them to find time to help their mum.
